PIAA Boys and Girls Soccer Championship Game Schedule Set

The High School soccer season in Pennsylvania will come to a close this weekend as the PIAA Championship matches will be played in all eight classifications in Mechanicsburg, with three WPIAL schools, Moon (Boys Class 3A), Bentworth (Boys Class 1A) and Springdale (Girls Class 1A) each vying for a State Title.

Look for previews for each match to follow, but here’s the full schedule below including match-ups featuring WPIAL schools (in Bold).

Championship Games

Friday November 15

10 a.m. — Boys Class 3A

Moon vs Radnor (District 1)

1 p.m. — Girls Class 3A

4 p.m. — Boys Class 1A

Bentworth vs Lancaster Mennonite (District 3)

He is also author of 'Miracle on the Mon' -- a book about the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, which chronicles the club, particularly the early years of Highmark Stadium with the narrative leading up to and centered around a remarkable match that helped provide a spark for the franchise. John has covered sports for Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, DK Pittsburgh Sports, Pittsburgh Sports Report, has served as color commentator on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC broadcasts, and worked with OPTA Stats and broadcast teams for US Open Cup and International Champions Cup matches held in the US.
