The NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament’s Third Round — the Sweet 16 — completed a thrilling weekend with four exciting matches on Sunday night which rounded out next week’s Elite Eight.

The Third Round concluded with No. 2 Pitt holding off a tough challenge against Kansas City — with a 3-2 win thanks to an extra time golden goal from Albert Thorsen.

All of the Sunday matches went to extra time and featured fantastic finishes — as Wake Forest also advanced on a golden goal to dethrone defending National Champs, Clemson, 2-1, while top seed Ohio State got through to the Elite Eight by winning a penalty kick shootout vs Stanford.

Capping the night, Vermont advanced by defeating San Diego, 2-1, with a penalty kick conversion in extra time.

With that, the Elite Eight matches are now set for Saturday:
