WPIAL Boys and Girls Soccer Scoreboard (9/6/2025)

It was a scattered schedule for boys and girls high school soccer in the district on Saturday, with only one section contest in boys and two in girls, while the rest of the contests were non-section matchups.

Since there was a condensed slate of matches, we’ve posted the scoreboard and some social media highlights for both boys and girls together.

We encourage everyone to follow Pittsburgh Soccer Now’s social media platforms to post scores, highlights, post-match interviews and more!

Pre-Match Day Notes

Two matches we’ll be keeping close tabs on are both non-section contests.  On the boys’ side, it’s the annual Battle of Fox Chapel Road rivalry — as neighboring Shady Side Academy and Fox Chapel face off.

Erik Ingram’s Foxes are off to a 3W-1L-0D start, with its only loss coming out of section on opening week at Canon-McMillan.  Fox Chapel began section play with an impressive 5-0 win vs Pine-Richland on Thursday.   Ed Ellsworth’s Shady Side squad has looked like a team that could very well be in the mix in Class 2A this season but did take a setback in opening up Section play when they were defeated by Deer Lakes, 3-0, last week.

On the girls side, the match that will be very interesting to watch and typically may come in to play for playoff seeding, is when South Park and Mt. Pleasant meet in a non-section clash.   Both teams are without a loss thus far. South Park though has been a scoring machine early in the season, racing out to 5W-0L-0D record behind 34 goals.  Mt. Pleasant (3W-0L-1D) went out of section to pick up solid results against West Allegheny (1-0 win) and draw vs Burrell (0-0).
