In light of the tragic events at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will host a fundraiser event, Peace on the Pitch, from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 at Highmark Stadium with all proceeds and donations being split between the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.
Centered on Pittsburgh neighborhoods unifying and standing together through the beautiful game, participants will be provided with the opportunity to play soccer on the Highmark Stadium field, in addition to other activities.
Friendlies will consist of 7-on-7 competition with teams having between 7- 10 participants. Age groups include under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12, under-14, under-16, under-18 and 20-years-or-older.

After the friendlies, a first responders game and a penalty shootout will take place. With each goal during the shootout, partners will offer a paid donation toward the fundraiser.
Special t-shirts donated by adidas will be sold with all proceeds going toward the fundraising effort.
The shirts will feature a special mockup of the Riverhounds SC logo with the wording #StrongerThanHate underneath.
Open donations will be accepted at the event. Partners will also provide prize baskets containing special items for raffle on the day of the event. These, as well as profits from concessions and a 50/50 raffle, will all go toward the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.
In addition, parking will be a $5 donation with all proceeds going to the fundraising efforts on behalf of ABM Parking Services.
