Pitt men’s soccer road contest at No. 5 UVA moved from Friday to Sunday

This weekend’s men’s soccer game at fifth-ranked Virginia, originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 PM, has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 PM. The game is scheduled to air on the ACC Network.

The second-ranked Panthers are coming off the heels of two ACC victories last week, including a 3-2 double-overtime victory at Syracuse Tuesday and a 4-2 decision at home against Virginia Tech Saturday evening.

Pitt (3-0, 2-0) enters the week number two in the nation, while the Cavaliers (1-0, 1-0) enter with the fifth overall rank. Virginia won its lone contest last week, a 2-1 double-overtime victory at home against Louisville. The United Soccer Coaches Poll updates every Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers’ remaining schedule includes a road contest at Louisville on Oct. 23 (6 PM), followed by two home games on Friday, Oct. 30 against Notre Dame (6 PM) and Friday, Nov. 6 vs. Syracuse (6 PM).
