WPIAL Girls Class 3A Soccer Playoff Bracket: Can the field catch up to Mars and Plum?

Click here to find the WPIAL Class 4A Girls Soccer bracket for the 2021 playoff tournament.

First Round – All games to be played on Monday, October 25

The Mars and Plum girls soccer programs are continuing on another collision course toward the WPIAL finals, where they’ve met in each of the past two seasons.  Both have secured section titles, but with Mars losing a lot of top talent from the team that won back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles, this year may provide the best opportunity for Plum, or another team lurking in the field, like Franklin Regional or Connellsville, who could knock off the top dogs. There are also some solid contenders in the middle of the field, including Belle Vernon, who defeated Connellsville 4-0 in their last meeting, and Hampton, who gave Franklin Regional a heck of a fight in Section 1 this season.

Playoff schedule:

  • 1st Round:                   Monday, October 25
    • Mars vs Penn Hills
    • BVA vs Oakland Catholic
    • Connellsville vs Kiski Area
    • Montour vs Trinity
    • Plum vs Laurel Highlands
    • Hampton vs Thomas Jefferson
    • Franklin Regional vs West Allegheny
    • South Fayette vs Gateway
  • Quarterfinal Round     Thursday, October 28
  • Semifinal Round          Monday, November 1
  • Final                             Friday/Saturday, November 5-6 (TBA)

PIAA Playoffs — brackets announced on Sunday, November 7 — with first round to begin Tuesday, November 9
