Sixty minutes into its second match of the season against neighboring rivals, the North Catholic Trojans boys soccer team had their backs against the wall, trailing 2-0, and looking at the prospects of getting swept in the first-ever section series between the two schools.

Led by second half goals from Ryan Shantz and Brody Dunn, then the game-winner in the first overtime from Marcus Kurtz, the Trojans upended Mars for 3-2 come-from-behind victory.

The victory was extra sweet for the boys in Burgundy and Gold, as many of the game’s festivities also served as way to help raise awareness and funds to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Pittsburgh Soccer Now‘s team was there to capture the sights and sounds from the Featured Game.

Brandon Rossi was there to provide play-by-by for the broadcast on PSN’s YouTube Channel (Audio Broadcastand captured some of goals on video.

Matt Popchock conducted the post match interview with the one of the heroes on the day, Marcus Kurtz and goalkeeper Devin Paschall.

And PSN’s lead photographer, Ed Thompson, was on hand, and caught the images from the match.
