RMU’s Renae Mohrbacher named Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week

Sophomore forward was named #HLWSOC Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office today, Tuesday afternoon.

In RMU’s third week of action, they continued their undefeated streak with a 2-1 victory over Indiana State and a 2-2 tie against St. Bonaventure at the North Athletic Complex.

This past week, when taking on the Sycamores for the home opener, Mohrbacher gave the Colonials an early lead with a goal scored in the 13th minute.

The following game, the Colonials were down 0-2 at the end of the first half. Mohrbacher kept the unbeaten streak alive as she scored a brace in under three minutes to tie the game.

Overall, Mohrbacher is ranked second in three categories in the Horizon League conference: goals (4), assists (3), points (11).

Through the first three weeks of the season, several RMU players have put together tremendous individual efforts as they’ve been awarded Player of the Week once each week. In Week 1, was named Defensive Player of the Week, and in Week 2, was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week.

Up next, the Colonials head back out on the road, to take on Mount St. Mary’s on Wednesday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m.
