BOYS SCOREBOARD & UPDATES

Class 4A

Some things continue to certain come mid-October each year.

One of those is Seneca Valley boys soccer team winning the ultra-competitive WPIAL Boys Soccer Class 4A, Section 1, by defeating North Allegheny, 2-0 on Thursday night.

Once again, the Raiders took the section title with a pair of goals in the second half, from Tyler Prex and Tyler Mazeneck.  Seneca Valley completes section schedule play with a 11-0-3 section record (13-0-3 overall), while North Allegheny (10-1-3 in section, 13-1-3 overall) suffered its first loss of the season.

With the win, Seneca Valley, the defending PIAA champions, and defending WPIAL runner-up, should be in good position to earn a number one seed in the upcoming WPIAL playoffs, which brackets will be released next Wednesday.
