It wasn’t a packed high school boys soccer Saturday schedule across the district, but there were a number of interesting matches played, especially in non-section contests.

The PIAA darlings a year ago, Allderdice Dragons, who compete in City League (PIAA District 8), tested the waters — as they have been doing once again this season — against top flight WPIAL opponent on Saturday by heading up to Wexford where they took on North Allegheny in a match that ended deadlocked, 1-1.
