It was a full slate of boys high school soccer on Tuesday night with all of the WPIAL classifications featuring section play.

Milestones and Highlights of the Night

• 150 Career Wins at SSA! Shady Side Academy Head Coach Ed Ellsworth reached his 150th overall victory leading the Bulldogs program during their 8-0 section win over Steel Valley.

• Elizabeth Forward’s Aiden Davis scored his 50th career goal in 5-1 win vs Waynesburg Central
• Top of the Table Clashes
  • In Class 3A, Section 4, Chartiers Valley and Central Valley battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw in a match bookended by goal with the Colts scoring within the first minute (Jonah Mastren-Willliams) but a late equalizer from Central Valley with just over 1 min to go, kept the Warriors in first place and unbeaten (3-0-2) in section. Chartiers Valley (2-1-1) is still right in the mix along with West Allegheny (3-1-0), who defeated fourth place South Fayette, 6-1.
  • In Class 2A, Section 1 showdown between remaining unbeaten teams in section, the defending WPIAL champs, Deer Lakes, earned a 3-1 win against Freeport.
