The RDA’s open tryouts will be held at Highmark Stadium from May 9-23.
Here are some of the details:

  • The tryouts will be held at Under-8/9 level through to the U-19 bracket for boys and girls and will be used to select players for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
  • Registration opens on Tuesday March 22
  • There is a $10 registration fee.
  • A Stage-Based over Age-Based approach will be used to compose our RDA teams this summer in light of recently announced changes to age classification guidelines set out by U.S. Youth Soccer and U.S. Club Soccer.
  • Players will be advised to play at an elder age group if the Academy directors deem this to be beneficial to their development.
  • The Riverhounds staff will be in touch with all existing RDA families regarding the appropriate tryout age group for their child.

Players are invited to attend both trial sessions for their respective age groups if applicable and desired. We will be running final invitational tryouts for teams at the U-10 through U-18 levels after the initial sessions.

Please contact Academy director Scott Gibson on (412) 325-7226 or by email tosgibson@riverhounds.com for further information regarding the tryouts.
