Where #USMNT Stand Halfway Though World Cup Qualifying Hexagonal

Hershey, PA born, Christian Pulisic has been given the reins to play a key role in the U.S. attack, and it paid off on Thursday, as he scored twice as USMNT beat Trinidad & Tobago 2-0.

Last in the Hexagonal after two games under Jurgen Klinsmann, the USA is now in third place following its 2-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago.
It got help from Mexico, which beat Honduras, 3-0, but Costa Rica had to settle for a 0-0 tie with Panama at home after finishing the game with 10 players following the red card to Giancarlo Gonzalez.

John Krysinsky has covered soccer and other sports for many years for various publications and media outlets. John has covered sports for Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, DK Pittsburgh Sports, Pittsburgh Sports Report, has served as color commentator on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC broadcasts, and worked with OPTA Stats and broadcast teams for US Open Cup and International Champions Cup matches held in the US.
