Mahan is one of three players replacing injuries in the team. She joins forward Kara Croone (Concorde Fire) and defender Paloma Daubert (San Juan SC) in taking the places of the injured Nawreen Ahmad, Sophia Bradley and Hope Munson.
Mahan is one of the best players in the WPIAL, as she has played incredible for Avonworth her first two seasons in high School. She scored the winning goal in overtime over North Catholic to win the school’s first WPIAL Title in 2021 and then scored two goals in the WPIAL Championship game over Mt. Pleasant to make it back-to-back titles.
She also excels outside of soccer, playing basketball and participating in track by running in the 4x400m and 4x100m relays.
Mahan is one of the most talented stars in the WPIAL in girls soccer and it shouldn’t be long before she starts to gain more recognition. Making the USYNT U-17 team would serve as a large part to establishing Mahan as one of the best up and coming players not just in western Pennsylvania, but the country as well.
