University of Pittsburgh’s men’s head soccer coach, Jay Vidovich has once again come down to the wire with making additions to the program’s roster as they begin to prepare for the Fall 2024 season.

In the past week, the program announced a few more additions to the program, which by our calculations, brings the total to 10 new players who will be joining the program for the upcoming season, not including any additional walk-ons or later additions.

Those announced additions include a few more local connections.

Cooper Sisson, an Irwin, PA native, who attended and graduated from Penn-Trafford High School in 2023, spent the past year training and playing with BVB International Academy.

Sisson will be joined by fellow Westmorland County high school standout, Owen Christopher.

Josh Veychek, who also grew up in Westmorland County, where he was in Penn-Trafford School District, played with Allegheny Force Football Club (AFFC) in the Pittsburgh area before moving on to Columbus Crew Academy when he was 12, will also be joining the program.

In addition, Pitt will be adding four international student-athletes to its roster, including Niklas Sorensen, from Switzerland, German center forward Tim Baierlein, Danish right back Laase Dahl and Miguel Bertran, from Spain.
