Steel City FC earned its first-ever victory in USL League Two postseason play on Friday afternoon, grinding out a methodical 1-0 win over a disciplined Northern Indiana FC side.

The Round of 32 clash, originally scheduled to be played at the historic Atwood Stadium in Flint, was forced to move indoors to the Legacy Sports Complex in Brighton, Michigan, due to heavy smoke emanating from active wildfires in nearby Minnesota and Canada.

Despite the abrupt change of venue and a faster, tighter indoor surface, the undefeated Great Forest Division champions imposed their will, dominated possession, and found the decisive breakthrough in the second half to punch their ticket to the Round of 16.

Attacking down the left flank, midfielder Nick Graeca worked his way into the box before carving an intelligent, clinical cutback pass across the area. Nissen-Lie—the Bellarmine University standout and Norway native who earned the start to lead the line—latched onto the pass and buried a low, clinical finish just inside the left post to beat Schouten.
