
Thanks to Steel City FC (formerly Pittsburgh Hotspurs) and Beadling SC, many talented soccer players based in the Western Pennsylvania who are still in college and even a few former collegiate and pro players have an opportunity to train and compete in high level leagues during the late Spring and early Summer.

Steel City FC’s men’s team is unbeaten and closing in on capturing the top spot in the NPSL’s Midwest Region, Great Lakes Division for the regular season campaign, with their sights firmly set on earning a berth in the 2024 U.S. Open Cup.

Both women’s teams (Steel City FC compete in UWS1 while Beadling SC represent the Pittsburgh area in the WPSL) are in contention for playoff spots with more matches remaining in late June / early July.
